Senior Developer for AS400 Applications

We are seeking experienced professionals with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in development, specifically in CLP/RPG/RPGLE on commercial applications.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of AS400 technology (RPGLE, CLLE, DB2), ILE and modular programming in ILE-RPG including modules, service programs, etc.

  1. Minimum 2-6 years of experience with exposure to complete life cycle of development at least once on CLP/RPG/RPGLE on commercial applications.
  2. Extensive Knowledge of AS400 technology (RPGLE, CLLE, DB2), ILE which also means working knowledge of modular programming in ILE-RPG including Modules, Service Programs etc.
  3. Appreciation and knowledge of effort estimation, Unit Testing. Should be experienced in writing comprehensive Unit Test Cases / Plans.
  4. Knowledge of trouble shooting during various phases of development.
  5. Reasonable working experience of coding new (and changing) complex CL programs.
  6. Knowledge of DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.
Key Qualifications

Experience in Insurance domain is preferred but not required.

Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Able to execute and coordinate SIT & UAT projects with other vendors and project implementation teams.

Proven ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.

Self-motivated, flexible, responsible and a desire for quality.
