Project Coordinator Job Description

Our team is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Coordinator to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing and coordinating software projects, excellent client communication skills, and a strong knowledge of project management tools like GitLab or Jira.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all stages of the software project life cycle from planning and development to implementation and maintenance.
  • Develop and maintain project plans schedules cost estimates risk management plans and performance reports.
  • Foster effective communication within the team with stakeholders and clients to ensure clarity of project objectives deadlines and alignment with company objectives.
  • Create flowcharts and other documentation to finalize the project scope and present them to clients and stakeholders for approval.
  • Utilize GitLab or Jira to manage tasks monitor progress and handle project documentation.
  • Coordinate project meetings create detailed plans to achieve goals and oversee the integration of technical activities.
  • Assist with issue resolution or escalation manage stakeholder relations and communicate effectively with clients to ensure project success.
  • Ensure all projects comply with project methodology compliance standards set by the company or regulatory bodies.
  • Review project plans to align project activities and collaborate with technical teams to identify and resolve work-related issues.
  • Work with the team to ensure that project goals are achieved within established timeframes and budgets.
  • Prepare and deliver project status reports to upper management and clients.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology Business Management or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a project coordinator or similar role preferably within the software industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools like GitLab or Jira.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as proficient knowledge of agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Experience in creating flowcharts and process maps to illustrate project scopes.
  • Robust problem-solving skills and the capability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
  • Relevant certification e.g PMP CSM is a plus.
