Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to drive the implementation of livelihood activities that align with the project's design and quality standards. This involves working closely with project leads and teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of project interventions.

  • Develop detailed implementation plans and budgets to support project teams in achieving defined objectives and targets.
  • Enhance technical quality through regular coordination with the Director – Social Additionality.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting project leads/teams to effectively implement livelihood activities aligned with the project design, activity plan, and quality standards.
  2. Enhancing the technical quality of project interventions through regular coordination with the Director – Social Additionality.
  3. Developing detailed implementation plans and budgets; supporting project teams in achieving defined objectives and targets.
  4. Issuing relevant directives and guidelines for timely and effective implementation of project activities.
  5. Proactively identifying operational challenges and coordinating timely solutions with the project team and Director – SA.
  6. Developing knowledge management products such as case studies, success stories, technical manuals, and booklets showcasing project impact.
  7. Promoting reflective practices to continuously refine strategies and approaches for greater impact and scalability.

Additional responsibilities include:

  1. Establishing women-led Plastic Collection Centers and Collection Points within waste collector communities.
  2. Launching e-tricycle-based plastic waste collection initiatives for informal waste collectors.
  3. Implementing skill training initiatives and developing market linkages to ensure decent income opportunities for target groups.
  4. Forging partnerships with government bodies, private sector actors, and technical institutions for capacity building, technical and enterprise support.
  5. Building strong networks with key stakeholders to support the effective delivery of the project.
  6. Collaborating with government departments, including state urban/rural livelihood missions.
  7. Establishing institutional linkages at the district level with banks, incubator/accelerator programs, retail outlets, and e-commerce platforms for financial and marketing support.
Required Skills and Qualifications

For this position, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work/Sciences, Entrepreneurship Development, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing livelihood or income generation programs in the social sector.
  • Experience in social business development is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working with informal sectors and vulnerable workforce.
  • Strong understanding of social and environmental sustainability concepts.
  • Proficiency in English, Tamil, Bengali, and Telugu is essential.
