Job Title: Business Process Controller

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Controller to lead large audit teams across multiple verticals and timelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization: Lead process improvement initiatives from planning through final implementation, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Team Management: Manage multiple teams and their team leads, responsible for staffing, training, and performance reviews.
  • Compliance & Technical Accuracy: Ensure alignment with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with tax, finance, and legal teams to identify control gaps and compliance issues.
  • Client Management: Own client relationships and act as the single point of contact for escalations, walkthroughs, and closure.
  • Risk-Based Approach: Apply risk assessment methodology to focus efforts on high-impact areas.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Tech-Driven Methodology: Leverage digital tools and systems to improve turnaround time and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 4-6 years of statutory audit experience, preferably in audit firms.
  • Independent Operator: Must have a proven track record of independently closing audits without supervision.
  • Team Leader: Experience managing multiple teams leads and audit teams simultaneously.
  • Subject Matter Expert: In-depth knowledge of auditing standards and financial statement preparation & review.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Working knowledge of data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Deadline-Oriented: High accountability, thrives under pressure, and delivers projects on time—every time.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong articulation for client presentations, board reporting, and team guidance.
