Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity to work on large-scale data platforms, leveraging your skills in big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Spark.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Data platform operations: manage day-to-day tasks, administration, and monitoring of components.
  • Technical support: assist teams with requests related to data copies, query tuning, and more.
  • Troubleshooting: resolve issues related to user queries, application jobs, and platform problems.
  • Monitoring: ensure the big data platform is running smoothly, including hosted DBs, tools, and services.
  • User support: work with end-users to identify and resolve issues.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
  • 35 years of experience in Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, HBase, Spark, Scala, Yarn, Sqoop, Ranger, Knox, Kerberos, LDAP, SOLR.
  • 6 years of Java and Linux/Unix experience.
  • 4 years of security scripting and automation experience.
  • 2 years of R, Python, Flume, Storm, Kafka experience.
  • 2 years of IBM BigSQL or similar MPP SQL engines experience.
  • 2 years of MySQL experience.
  • 1 year of CICD experience.
  • Hadoop distribution administration and performance tuning expertise.
  • Strong understanding of data lake concepts and big data capabilities.
  • Good understanding of data virtualization, replication, and governance.
  • AWS or cloud-based PaaS/SaaS environments experience.
  • AWS EMR experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Mandatory skill: Dataiku.
