Accounting Leadership Role

We are a digital-first direct-to-consumer apparel brand bringing quality fabrics and international fashion trends to our customers.

Seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead Accounts Payable and Indirect Taxes functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end Accounts Payable process including invoice processing, expense booking, vendor reconciliation, and payment runs.
  • Ensure all invoices are properly coded, authorized, and entered into accounting software in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors addressing billing or payment inquiries promptly.
  • Manage employee expense reports ensuring compliance with company policies.
GST Compliance
  • Manage GST compliance focusing on maximizing and correctly claiming Input Tax Credit (ITC).
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of GSTR-2B with the Purchase Register taking timely action on discrepancies.
  • Oversee preparation and filing of GST returns as applicable.
  • Stay updated on GST regulations and amendments to ensure full compliance and optimize tax positions.
TDS Compliance
  • Ensure timely and accurate TDS calculation and deduction on applicable payments.
  • Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns within statutory deadlines.
  • Generate and issue TDS certificates to vendors and employees.
Team Management & Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor team performance to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Commerce or related field.
• 4-5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Extensive experience with accounting software including implementation, customization, and advanced reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
