Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

This position involves developing and maintaining Terraform scripts for DBT Cloud, GitHub, etc. It also requires working directly with the phData Provision Tool and related infrastructure tooling.

• Maintain and enhance Terraform scripts for DBT Cloud, GitHub, etc.
• Work directly with phData Provision Tool and related infra tooling
• Automate environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices
• Collaborate with STL and Senior Engineer to ensure seamless operations
• Handle AWS IAM, RSA key management, and 1Password Vault usage
• Understand customer requirements, solutions, and project KPIs
• Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
• Set up tools and required infrastructure
• Define and set development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
• Review, verify, and validate software code developed in the project
• Troubleshoot techniques and coordinate bug fixes with developers
• Monitor processes during entire lifecycle for adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement in a lean manner
• Plan and build automated processes where possible
• Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
• Select and deploy CI/CD tools and pipelines
• Build continuous integration, development, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD Pipeline) for various technologies and platforms
• Mentor team members on DevOps collaboration
• Monitor and measure customer experience and KPIs
• Plan team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities
• Coordinate and communicate within the team and with customers
• Manage stakeholders and external interfaces
• Manage periodic reporting on progress to management and customers

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer who can work closely with our team to develop and maintain Terraform scripts for DBT Cloud, GitHub, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance Terraform scripts for DBT Cloud, GitHub, etc.
• Work directly with phData Provision Tool and related infra tooling
• Automate environment setup, deployments, and key rotation practices
• Collaborate with STL and Senior Engineer to ensure seamless operations
• Handle AWS IAM, RSA key management, and 1Password Vault usage

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering
• Experience with chaos engineering or resilience testing
• Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments
• Write clear runbooks and perform postmortems
• Exposure to Snowflake, FiveTran, DBT Cloud
• Exposure to data-intensive or distributed systems (Kafka, Cassandra)
• Contribute to improving SRE practices
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation
• Strong Linux background
• Thorough knowledge in DevOps practices and concepts
• Hands-on skills in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD
• Experience with configuration automation tools such as Ansible
• Experience in cloud native tools and technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in test automation tools and mechanisms such as JMeter, Newman
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform
• Experience with application monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch/Kibana, Prometheus
• Knowledge and experience in at least one development language (Java or .NET)
• Scripting knowledge in Python/shell with experience on Linux/Windows
• Team player
• Ability to communicate effectively with different project stakeholders
