About Sabyasachi Calcutta LLP
Sabyasachi Mukherjee is a renowned Indian fashion and jewelry designer who founded his eponymous label in 1999. His vision is to revive India's rich heritage of textiles, fabrics, and artisanal workmanship. With five flagship stores across the country and a strong presence in the Indian film and television industry, Sabyasachi's brand has become a reality.
As a Designer at Sabyasachi Calcutta LLP, you will work closely with the Design Director to create stunning jewelry pieces that align with the brand's vision and design calendar. We are looking for someone with a versatile design language, great attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and plan a range of jewelry products, ensuring technical feasibility and managing development for the first prototype.
- Research iconography, materials, and techniques, and realize digital moodboards.
- Propose creative directions, deliver design concepts, and detailed sketches in line with the creative brief.
- Coordinate manufacturing for first prototypes and propose design and technical solutions to integrate aesthetic, quality, construction, scalability, and price-point requirements.
Requirements
- A relevant degree supported by a strong portfolio.
- Minimum 4-8 years of experience in jewelry design, with manufacturing and technical expertise in the field.
- Proficiency in digital tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDraw) and hand-sketching techniques.
- Prior experience in creating gold and heritage temple jewelry designs is mandatory.

- A strong understanding of luxury and fashion design/product trends.
- Exceptional collaboration, organization, time-management, and presentation skills.
