Database Administration Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administration Project Coordinator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for coordinating database administration tasks, ensuring smooth transitions and operational continuity, and overseeing SQL system upgrades.

  • Manage the transfer of database administration tasks across teams, systems, or locations.
  • Ensure accurate, current records in the Configuration Management Database.
  • Track vulnerabilities in SQL systems and collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
Requirements

To apply for this role, you should have:

  • A Master's/Bachelor's degree in Information & Computer Science, Statistics, or a quantitative discipline.
  • A minimum of 6 years of project management experience focused on database initiatives.
  • Strong SQL technology knowledge and familiarity with major providers like SQL Server and Oracle.
Key Skills and Competencies
  • Project Planning and Organization: Define project goals, break down into actionable tasks, create timelines, and allocate responsibilities.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Bridge communication among developers, DBAs, and stakeholders, lead regular status meetings, and manage expectations.
  • Technical Coordination: Monitor SQL database development for standards adherence, review queries and database designs for performance and accuracy.
Responsibilities and Requirements

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience with SQL technologies, project management methodologies, and collaboration tools.
