Job Title: Associate Quality Assurance Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our testing efforts for ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Migrations with a strong focus on Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical skills combined with leadership qualities to guide junior engineers, ensure best practices, and deliver high-quality data solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data validation and quality assurance. They will also review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

In addition, the candidate will perform data analysis, reconciliation, and validation between source and target systems. Key responsibilities include designing data quality frameworks for Athena's Snowflake and HighTouch environments, validating data completeness, transformations, and client onboarding workflows, performing row-level and aggregated data validations across client datasets, supporting data governance, auditing, and compliance requirements.

Other duties include driving automation in ETL and DWH testing where feasible, ensuring non-functional requirements such as performance and security are met, mentoring and guiding junior engineers, providing technical direction and knowledge sharing, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, and staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

  • Lead and support testing efforts for ETL processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Migrations with a strong focus on Snowflake.
  • Design, develop, and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data validation and quality assurance.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and validation between source and target systems.

Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in ETL/DWH testing, with at least 2+ years working on Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, Data Migrations, and ETL workflows.
  • Proficiency in SQL with ability to write complex queries for data validation and analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of data quality, data governance, and reconciliation testing.
  • Experience with test automation for DWH/ETL projects is an advantage.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.
  • Experience in a lead role – mentoring team members, assigning tasks, and ensuring quality delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science or IT or related field.
  • ISTQB examinations.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in CI/CD environments.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Python or scripting for automation.
