Job Title: Data Protection Specialist

Location: Davangere, India (Hybrid)

Experience Required: 4 to 10 Years

Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced professionals with expertise in data protection to join our Cyber & Risk practice as Data Protection Specialists. The role involves leading and executing data protection engagements, ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage data protection projects across industries, ensuring alignment with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPAs) and data subject rights management.
  • Design, review, and enhance data protection policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
  • Implement and monitor data protection controls, including consent management and cross-border data transfer mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with IT, Legal, and Risk functions to ensure data protection compliance in technology and business processes.
  • Drive awareness sessions and training programs on data protection and information security.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management and clients on data protection risks, compliance gaps, and remediation strategies.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in data protection, information security, or compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection laws and regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with data protection audits, assessments, and compliance programs.
  • Exposure to ISO 27701, ISO 27001, and other data protection/security frameworks.
  • Ability to manage client engagements, lead teams, and deliver projects within timelines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CIPP/E / CIPT / CISM / CISA or equivalent data protection/security certifications.
  • ISO 27701 Implementer / Lead Auditor is an advantage.
