We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing and Procurement Expert to join our team at GEP Worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in sourcing and procurement to take on a challenging role that involves monitoring industry trends, developing category knowledge, and managing internal customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and research industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to optimize sourcing support activities.
- Solicit bids, lead auctions, negotiate with suppliers, and manage vendor relationships.
- Develop and maintain deep category knowledge to effectively manage internal customer relationships.
- Maintain good public relations with outside suppliers and strong partnerships with internal stakeholders.
- Manage functional sourcing support activities while ensuring adherence to corporate standards.
- Draft and evaluate scorecards, conduct supplier performance validation events, and drive improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Knowledge of project management and sourcing principles.
- Financial analysis and quantitative skills.
- Business acumen, including understanding how markets work.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
