APAC Sourcing Manager, Data Center Sourcing and Procurement

We are currently seeking a creative, driven, and forward-thinking sourcing and procurement professional to join our Data Center Services and Procurement (DCSP) team in APAC.
This role focuses on programmatically identifying and onboarding construction and associated CAPEX related professional services suppliers in AWS regions. The role innovates and creates tools/mechanisms to develop and leverage market intelligence to in turn develop a sustainable supplier base in AWS APAC regions to ensure a sustainable supplier pool is maintained and continually assessed for capacity delivery. You will create regional/country specific sourcing plans and quickly deliver these (through supplier onboarding, interviews and contract negotiations) to enable internal customer teams to meet tight schedules. It is critical that you identify and build innovative and systematical new ways to forge partnerships with new suppliers, evaluate suppliers' performance against clearly defined metrics, and balance priorities of, both, Amazon and our suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. You will build mechanisms to monitor the effectiveness of these new partnerships and create processes to ensure we take appropriate actions to ensure ongoing competitive sustainability of our supplier markets for upcoming projects.

This role engages in/and ensures ethical, transparent and professional transactions and takes ownership of the CAPEX services procurement functions to maintain healthy supplier dynamics, promote supplier diversity, and consistently improve supplier performance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Key job responsibilities
- Build programmatic and technology solutions to identify viable construction and professional services suppliers in APCJ regions/countries through insightful internal data/information and specific market intelligence.
- Negotiate contract terms with new suppliers and ensure they understand Amazon's business requirements.
- Establish supplier sourcing strategies and timelines that address specifics of each region including local language, ease of doing business with suppliers in-market, existing supplier availability, etc., and then acting as a project manager to drive the strategies to completion.
- Ensure sustainability in future competitive activities by implementing mechanisms or leading indicators triggering mitigation activities in APJC regions.
- Build actionable and informative status dashboards/reports to coordinate and communicate frequently and professionally with internal customers and stakeholders on the status of sourcing and procurement activities for regions.
- Develop and lead supplier- and customer-focused training that enable them to partner more closely with your business unit.
- Establish key internal metrics and utilize them to monitor and improve performance against business objectives, make informed business decisions and maintain sustainable supplier pools for future sourcing
- Drive process improvement initiatives that positively impact customers, stakeholders, and the team.
- Create procedures and tools and simplifying those that already exist.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years' relevant experience leading supplier and contract negotiations in diverse countries and across diverse categories.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-pasted environment with significant autonomy.
- Process improvement background with an emphasis on internal and external performance improvement and effectiveness mechanisms - technical proficiency in SQL queries, VBA programming, other programming disciplines for solution building.
- Analysis skills especially with regards to developing market intelligence, drawing insights and communicating those insight to internal customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced degree (MBA, International Business)
- Technical solution building experience (actionable reporting/dashboarding).
- Experience executing business transactions in multiple countries.
- PMP, Six Sigma or similar certification.
- Demonstrated success in a metrics-oriented environment and an ability to create, track, and report out on metrics
- Experience supporting data center construction procurement or data center operations procurement.
