Business Development Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team of experts, working in a challenging environment sustained by growth and learning.

  • Support in developing the knowledgebase of carbon markets via desk-based research, categorizing reports, documents, policies, and analysis at local and national levels;
  • Research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, and services or new ways of reaching existing markets;
  • Seek out appropriate contacts in organizations and generate leads through regular follow-ups;
  • Assist seniors in developing sales pitches for prospective clients and participate in presentations of business ideas;
  • Coordinate with other departments for smooth workflow and expedite processes through established practices;
  • Draw up client contracts depending on company size and service requirements;
  • Support reporting managers in tracking and maintaining generated leads and providing data for client-specific presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Categorize and analyze reports, documents, and policies at local and national levels;
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to pursue them;
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and generate leads through regular communication;
  • Develop sales pitches and present business ideas to clients;
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficient workflow and process management;
  • Draft client contracts based on company needs;
  • Track and report on lead generation and client engagement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
  • 1-3 years of experience in renewable energy, carbon consultancy, power sector, waste-to-energy, or natural systems;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software tools;
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
