We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Workplace Standard Auditor and Trainer. This exciting role offers the chance to make a real impact on responsible mica supply chains and contribute to a global initiative dedicated to eliminating child labor and promoting sustainable practices.
The successful candidate will be based in Bhilwara, Rajasthan, India, and will work closely with our governance bodies, executive team, members, and partners. The ability to travel to other districts is essential, particularly in Andra Pradesh and occasionally Jharkhand. We are looking for a solution-driven and impact-focused individual who can foster effective teamwork and drive results.
Missions & Responsibilities:
This role involves supporting the Executive Team with several key missions:
- Supply Chain Sustainability Management (80%)
- Establish gap assessments of India mica processors and mines versus RMI's Global Workplace Standard (GWS) and the forthcoming RMI mining standard.
- Co-design corrective action plans with processors and mine owners.
- Support processors and mine owners in implementing CAPs and follow up on their progress regarding compliance with RMI workplace and due diligence standards.
- Coordinate collective third-party audit protocols for RMI members.
- Liaise with accredited external auditing companies.
- Develop training content for auditors on RMI standards and conduct online or face-to-face training sessions.
- Perform quality checks on audit reports.
- District-level advocacy in Rajasthan (20%): Build and maintain a network with local district governmental officers and authorities.
Profile:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to federate and engage teams.
- Fluency in English and Hindi.
- A high level of integrity and ethical standards.
- Good reporting and presentation skills.
- Good IT skills, including Excel and online assessment tools.
Education & Experience:
Candidates should have a Master's degree in International Development, Business, Engineer/Mining, Social Auditing, or a related field. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in social and environmental auditing, sustainability standards, and mining standards is required. Experience in facilitating training sessions, working in Rajasthan, and coordinating multi-stakeholder projects is an added advantage.
