About the Role:

  • This is a Procurement Buyer position that involves managing electrical and electronic commodities within the automotive domain.
Responsibilities:
  1. Procure automotive electrical & electronic commodities such as wiring harnesses, sensors & switches, relays, fuses, connectors, control units/ECUs, lighting systems, and instrument clusters & other electronic sub-systems.
  2. Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve best cost, quality, and delivery.
  3. Drive localisation projects to reduce dependency on imports and improve supply chain resilience.
  4. Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers while also improving existing supplier relationships.
  5. Analyse costs, negotiate with suppliers, and benchmark to achieve cost reduction targets.
  6. Collaborate with R&D, design, and quality teams to ensure suppliers meet technical requirements.
  7. Maintain high-quality suppliers who meet QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) parameters.
  8. Monitor market trends, raw material cost fluctuations, and new technologies in automotive electronics.
  9. Evaluate and ensure compliance with IATF/ISO standards and OEM requirements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor development, localisation, and cost management.
  • Strong negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier management skills.
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality processes in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications.
