Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned engineer to join our team in the field of critical facilities operations and maintenance. This is a key role that requires a high level of technical expertise and excellent problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, installing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability environments such as data centers or utilities infrastructure.

About the Role
  • Design and Installation: Designs, plans, installs, and/or maintains mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability environments such as data centers or utilities infrastructure.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Works with all major systems within a facility or building such as electrical and HVAC systems and performs regular maintenance on all systems.
  • Facility Management: Ensures proficient understanding of sensitive facility components that may be impacted by failures or malfunctions of infrastructure systems.
Responsibilities
  • Analyzes current operating conditions and recommends new preventative and proactive methods for maintaining and monitoring facilities systems.
  • Evaluates facility standards and practices to improve maintenance procedures and ensure optimal operational efficiency.
  • Complies with organizational and governmental safety standards and coordinates response to emergency situations and ensures that corrective measures are rapid and thorough.
  • Participates in the planning and installation of new facility systems and may work with multiple components including HVAC systems, air or liquid cooling systems, CRAC/CRAH units, power distribution units, fire systems, life safety systems, etc.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field
  • Trade Certification or state license in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC)
  • Professional affiliations (7x24 Exchange, IFMA, Data Center Pulse, etc.)
