Job Title: Chief Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and running efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the engineering department.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all facilities and equipment are properly maintained and running smoothly.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and develop plans to address them.
  • Develop and maintain budgets and financial reports for the engineering department.
  • Supervise and train staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices to ensure that our facilities and equipment are running at maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in engineering or related field, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of success in managing budgets and financial reports.
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong technical skills, with ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
