Job Overview:

The NAVISYS Engineer is a key contact for vessels, Fleet Superintendents, and transversal departments regarding navigation integrated systems. They implement actions to meet technical and regulatory needs, working with partners to ensure operational condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with IMS and international rules and regulations;
  • Ensure duties align with quality, health, safety, environmental, and ethics policies;
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan;
  • Monitor or organize surveys/maintenance of navigation integrated systems and provide support to vessels and shore teams;
  • Manage repairs with vessel Superintendents/Vessel managers by sourcing best solutions;
  • Support vessel compliance with flag and class requirements;
  • Feedback and challenge repair proposals to ensure operational availability;
  • Maintain up-to-date data bases of radio and navigation systems onboard;
  • Evaluate and assess partners/key vendors regularly;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or Electronics and Telecommunications;
  • Good knowledge of integrated radio and navigation systems;
  • Skills to provide best support to vessels and shore teams;
  • Troubleshooting, initiative, flair to solve issues, and curiosity for new technologies;
  • Project management skills, competencies in various software programs;
  • Fluent in English;
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills;
