Job Overview


As a Microsoft Data Center Project Manager, you will oversee the planning and execution of data center projects to ensure timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks, ensure compliance with safety and security policies, and provide technical guidance to project team members.


Responsibilities



  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
  • Lead project meetings, workshops, and other activities to ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including those related to safety, security, and compliance.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables meet Microsoft's quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize project requirements and ensure that project deliverables meet those requirements.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, resource allocation, and budget plans to ensure timely delivery and quality.
  • Ensure that project documentation, including project plans, meeting minutes, and other documentation, is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project team members as needed.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure that all project activities are properly documented, tracked, and reported.
  • Ensure that all project activities are in compliance with Microsoft's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements


The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, and at least 2 years of experience in data center operations, project management, or a related field. The candidate should have strong project management skills, including experience with project planning, execution, and monitoring. Additionally, the candidate should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
