Façade Access Specialist

As a Façade Access Consultant/Engineer, you will provide expert advice and design expertise on single or multi-disciplinary projects.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team of façade access specialists. Your key responsibilities will include liaising with the wider design team to advise on the integration of façade access systems into the project.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with façade access systems and possess knowledge of current engineering standards, practices, regulations, and legislation.

You will lead the design to achieve the optimal combination of cost, aesthetic impact, and functionality while following best health and safety practices.

Your duties will also include preparing façade access strategy reports at key stages of the design of the project, as well as reviewing contractor drawings and inspecting site throughout the construction process to ensure compliance to the spec, the design intent, and relevant legislation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the wider design team to advise on the integration of façade access systems into the project.
  • Lead the design to achieve the optimal combination of cost, aesthetic impact, and functionality while following best health and safety practices.
  • Prepare façade access strategy reports at key stages of the design of the project.
  • Review contractor drawings and inspect site throughout the construction process to ensure compliance to the spec, the design intent, and relevant legislation.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Experience of having worked with façade access systems either within a consultancy or from a contractor's role.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of façade access systems their performance and operation as well as current engineering standards practices regulations and legislation.
  • Be an enthusiastic self-motivated individual with a relevant academic background.
  • Competent in AutoCAD and/or Revit and 3D design software.
