Senior Engineering Specialist

About this role:

Our organization is seeking an accomplished Senior Engineering Specialist to provide technical leadership and expertise in developing and implementing innovative solutions.

This position involves serving as an advisor to senior leaders, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the development of cutting-edge technologies that align with business objectives.

  • Lead the strategy and resolution of complex challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering long-term, large-scale solutions that exhibit vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical, and inductive thinking.
  • Translate advanced technology experience, in-depth knowledge of organizational strategic and tactical objectives, the enterprise technological environment, organizational structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions.
  • Provide expert guidance to senior leaders on implementing impactful business solutions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, recommending innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization.
  • Effectively engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise, serving as an expert advisor to senior leadership.

Required Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills:

  • At least 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

The following qualifications are highly desirable for this position:

  • Strong programming skills, preferably in Python.
  • Knowledge of data science, statistics, and mathematics.
  • Experience with cloud implementation, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Ability to analyze and extract relevant features for training machine learning models.
  • Design and build machine learning systems that utilize artificial intelligence to learn and improve.
