Senior Design Engineer Role

This is a challenging position that requires experience in designing complex systems, particularly in electronics and communications engineering.

We are seeking an individual who can take ownership of projects from concept to delivery, including risk identification, schedule tracking, and customer discussions.

  • Understand customer requirements and specifications to define DSP, system, and board architecture.
  • Project ownership from concept to delivery.
  • Partition algorithms for implementation in FPGA and/or SW.
  • Provide estimates on FPGA resources, computation bandwidth, and memory bandwidth.
  • Create module-level details from architecture, coding, simulation, and peer reviews.
  • Define and maintain project-related documentation.
  • Support customers during integration phases and production teams.
  • Define RTL function architecture, perform HDL coding, simulation, and implementation, and test on board with debugging.

Required Skills:

  • Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications (E&C).
  • 3-6 years of experience in designing complex systems.
  • VHDL knowledge, Xilinx tools for synthesis and implementation, and thorough understanding of Xilinx FPGAs.
  • Functional simulation, hardware design, and logic design expertise.
  • FPGA design, VHDL/Verilog RTL coding, System C/System Verilog, and implementation skills.
  • Implementing DSP algorithms in FPGA environments for Radar and Electronic Warfare systems.
  • Working knowledge of interfacing with ADCs and DACs and interpreting their performance.
  • Fluency in communication and presentation skills.
