Join Our Team of Furniture Designers

We're on the lookout for a skilled Furniture Designer to join our team As a key member, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our product lines by creating innovative and commercially viable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to understand customer preferences through past sales data, social media, and international trends.
  • Develop original design concepts that align with our manufacturing strengths and are aligned with global furniture trends.
  • Create production-ready drawings using CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar software.
  • Collaborate with merchandising and sourcing teams to translate concepts into viable collections.
  • Work with prototyping teams to refine joinery, finishes, ergonomics, and structural integrity.
  • Incorporate KD (knock-down) joinery, export packaging standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop design boards, line sheets, and client presentations for export buyers.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in furniture design, preferably in solid wood.
  • Strong skills in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, etc.).
  • Knowledge of global furniture trends, ergonomics, finishing techniques, and joinery.
  • Ability to translate abstract research into commercially viable designs.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with reclaimed or sustainable wood materials.
  • Understanding of packaging and shipping for exports.
  • Familiarity with American and European design preferences.
  • Prior experience with export-oriented furniture markets.
