Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and overseeing the development of new products, localization, and customization of existing products. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders.

The Engineering Head will guide the team in designing, developing, validating, and implementing new products, product line extensions, VAVE initiatives, customizations, and product transfers in a timely manner. They will also ensure adherence to industry safety standards, customer performance expectations, and quality requirements.

The incumbent should have in-depth knowledge of global product standards and certification requirements, including UL/CSA/CCC/CE/BIS. They should also have experience in product stewardship, project management tools, and CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 18–20 years of experience in product development in a business and plant environment.
  • Experience with electrical products, including low and medium voltage switchgear, UPS, and fuses.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to demonstrate methodologies, processes, and tools effectively.
  • Expertise in SAP and product lifecycle management tools (SAP PLM, Enovia).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (ProPM, MS Projects) and CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
