Key System Engineer Role: Enhance Infrastructure Reliability and Scalability

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned system reliability expert to join our team and ensure the robustness, scalability, and maintainability of our services. This individual will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable and secure applications and infrastructure in cloud or hybrid environments.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills. He/she will collaborate with engineers to build highly available, reliable, and deployable systems, ensuring that they meet SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement scalable and secure applications and infrastructure in cloud or hybrid environments.
  2. Implement and manage robust monitoring, alerting, and observability systems to ensure efficient incident response and resolution.
  3. Collaborate with engineers to develop and automate recurrent operational tasks using scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  4. Participate in on-call rotations, conduct RCAs, and implement preventive measures and self-healing solutions to minimize downtime.
  5. Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery design to ensure strong Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 12+ years of experience as an SRE, DevOps, or related role managing large-scale solutions or platforms.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Go, and Bash.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
  • SRE-specific certifications from AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience shaping and scaling SRE practices.
  • Experience mentoring teams and fostering a strong reliability culture across the organization.
