Software Development Engineer Role

This is an individual contributor position focused on driving technical excellence within our engineering organization.

  • Expectations will be centered around the following key areas:
Key Responsibilities

Be responsible for all phases of engineering, from early specifications and design/architecture to technology choice, development, unit-testing/integration automation, and deployment.

  • Design and architect new features and services that align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with architects, product management, and other engineering teams to build a technical vision and roadmap.
  • Build technical specifications, prototypes, and presentations to effectively communicate ideas and influence product direction.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging industry technologies and trends, and have the ability to communicate this knowledge to the team.
  • Work closely with the team to develop a product or parts of a large product.

In this role, you will work closely with a talented team of engineers to drive innovation and deliver high-quality products.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Min. 5+ years of proven experience in software development.
  • Excellent computer science fundamentals and a good understanding of design, and performance of algorithms.
  • Proficient in Java programming language.
  • Ability to write code that is reliable, maintainable, secure, and performant.
  • Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure services.
Skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and version control systems.
  • Passion for staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
