Job Overview

The Technical Project Manager will oversee the execution of component parts of a strategic renovation program for terminals management, delivering major functional enhancements and technical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth project flow through various stages of delivery.
  • Collaborate with product owners/product managers/engineering leads/delivery leads to maintain backlogs.
  • Plan work for releases and sprints, and collaborate with developers, QA, and BAs to elaborate designs.
  • Ensure sufficient testing is carried out and progress reporting to PMO.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and resourcing to meet forward expected demand.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work with client managers/senior management and global IT owners.
  • Delivery focused, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Change management skills, ability to manage several projects simultaneously under pressure.
  • Capable of working in groups as well as independently.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years experience in structured project governance and project management methodologies.
  • PMP or equivalent certificate is a plus.
  • Industry experience in commodity trading or related industries is a positive.
  • Educational background: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Relationships:

  • Robust collaborative relationship with business stakeholders, architects, developers, project managers, implementation/outsourcing partners & other business analysts.

This role requires a strong track record of success in managing complex software deployment projects, and the ability to work effectively with global teams.
