Job Summary

  • This role involves the application of technical expertise in security operations and incident response to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement use cases to detect and respond to company-wide security incidents, leveraging knowledge of organizational risks and threats.
  • Utilize SIEM and analytics tools to monitor use cases and improve detection accuracy.
  • Define thresholds, logic, and conditions to reduce false positives using Alert Logic.
  • Align use cases with incident response workflows to ensure actionable intelligence.
  • Develop and optimize KPI/KRI reports to track detection and response performance.
  • Refine use cases and adjust logic periodically based on alert data analysis.
  • Coordinate cross-functional team responses for high-impact cyber security incidents.
  • Triage events, escalations, and incidents to determine remediation and resolution actions.
  • Rapidly address potential threats through coordinated response activities across teams or directly with stakeholders.
  • Develop playbooks to enhance processes and information sharing across teams.
  • Provide Security Operations and Incident Response perspective and subject matter expertise for initiatives and projects.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the team.
  • Participate in current operations, including on-call rotation with some after-hours responsibilities and escalations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in security operations and incident response.
  • Proven skills in designing and implementing use cases, as well as utilizing SIEM and analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of incident response workflows and ability to align use cases accordingly.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to refine use cases and adjust logic periodically.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to coordinate cross-functional team responses.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including on-call rotation and after-hours responsibilities.
