Logistics Operations Manager

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Logistics Operations Manager. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the coordination of import and export operations, ensuring timely and accurate processes by monitoring workflows and managing resources.

The ideal candidate will have 8-11 years of experience in logistics or a related field, with a strong background in freight forwarding procedures and financials. They will possess excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage operations teams effectively.

In addition to their technical expertise, the successful candidate will be highly motivated and results-driven, with outstanding attention to detail and a customer service mindset. They will be able to handle complex problems, prioritize tasks, and multitask efficiently.

Responsibilities:
  • • Coordinate Import/Export Operations: Oversee the coordination of imports and exports, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.
  • • Team Supervision: Lead shift managers and their teams, reviewing KPIs and ensuring team members meet expectations.
  • • Process Improvement: Identify areas of inefficiency and propose automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • • Escalation Resolution: Resolve exceptions during shipment processes, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • • Feedback and Development: Provide regular feedback, training, and development sessions to team members.
  • • Goal Setting: Set goals and objectives for the team, aligning with organizational strategies and targets.
  • • Financial Management: Use established indicators and tools to maximize revenue and ensure financial sustainability.
Requirements:
  • • Bachelor's degree in any field (Commerce, International Trade, Logistics preferred)
  • • 5+ years of industry-related experience with preference to freight forwarding
  • • 2+ years of team management experience, including managing team leads or shift managers
  • • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • • Highly motivated and results-driven individual
