We're seeking an experienced Enterprise System Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch support for our enterprise system, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL and RPG programming, with experience working with DB2 databases and CL commands. They will also have a good understanding of system architecture, including interface mechanisms with upstream and downstream systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Code walkthroughs: Performing thorough reviews of complex COBOL and RPG code modules, including customized routines.
  • Integration: Understanding how the enterprise system integrates with other systems.
  • Monitoring setup: Knowledge of current monitoring mechanisms, log directories, and housekeeping processes on the system.
  • Compliance requirements: Identifying applicable compliance and regulatory requirements for the system and ensuring adherence.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. They will also be highly analytical, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • IBM AS/400 (COBOL, RPG III, RPGILE, SQLILE, CLLE)
  • COBOL mandatory
  • Understanding of business purpose of the AS400 application
  • Familiarity with system architecture diagram
  • Knowledge of various AS400 environments
  • Experience with DB2 databases and CL commands
