Senior Lead Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lead Engineer to lead the development of high-quality software solutions. This role will be responsible for delivering transformative and innovative solutions that transform the customer experience.

  • This position requires a self-driven, highly motivated individual with exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within busy workspace.
  • This role involves working across time zones and with remote teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop high-quality software by practicing software engineering principles and best practices.
  2. Embrace First Time Right, Automation, Reusability, Maintainability, and Secure Coding in everyday work.
  3. Create holistic designs for development using a Test-Driven Development approach to ensure reusability & extensibility of capabilities in future versions.
  4. Work with various stakeholders to identify project scope, estimate timelines, and develop approaches and designs for features/epics.
  5. Develop and implement architectural and design principles to improve performance, capacity, and scalability of products.
  6. Take ownership while working in a SAFe Agile model with other developers, BA's, Architects to ensure end business & performance goals are met.
  7. Independently drive conversations with internal and external stakeholders to ensure software delivered meets business objectives and highest quality.
  8. Participate in code reviews (self and team) and suggest/fix any defects/design issues identified.
  9. Ensure on-time delivery of product features as per Product Roadmap.
  10. Support issue analysis/triaging and provide fixes during test phases, as well as production issue resolution to ensure key Product SLAs are met.
  11. Ensure thorough unit testing & participate in transition of application components to testers.
  12. Present and highlight features in product demos to wider audience/customers.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Java /. Net / Oracle / SQL and web services software architecture and design (REST/SOAP).
  • Exposure to cloud applications including DevOps, Deployment, Jenkins, Jira.
  • Experience in RESTFul WebServices & API framework, OAS3 APIs

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is required; a Master's degree is a plus. Experience with Agile Development practices and processes is also preferred.
