We are seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to join our team of experts in designing and building large-scale data systems.
Responsibilities:- System Design: Develop scalable data architectures using Snowflake as the primary platform, ensuring high-performance and data integrity.
- Real-Time Data Ingestion: Implement efficient data pipelines for real-time ingestion and integration with external data sources.
- Data Transformations: Create complex transformations using JavaScript/SQL stored procedures and UDFs, optimizing data quality and consistency.
- Query Optimization: Write optimized SQL queries with window functions, CTEs, and pivots, improving query performance and efficiency.
- Expertise: Hands-on experience with Snowflake development, including strong Snowflake SQL and basic JavaScript stored procedures.
- Knowledge Base: Comprehensive understanding of Snowflake concepts, including Tasks, Streams, Stages, File Formats, and Time Travel.
- dbt Core Skills: Experience with dbt core concepts (models, sources, tests, snapshots), ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- Warehouse Sizing and Query Tuning: Understanding of warehouse sizing, auto-suspend/resume, and query optimization techniques, minimizing costs and maximizing performance.
- Fundamentals: Familiarity with RBAC, data types, and semi-structured data (JSON/XML), as well as basic knowledge of SnowSQL CLI and Snowflake web interface.
