The role of Garage Lab Manager is pivotal in driving innovation and growth within our organization.

With a focus on empowering individuals and teams, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of our makerspace and ensure seamless execution of projects and events.

A key responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coaching to employees, facilitating creative problem-solving and rapid iteration.

This position requires strong client-facing skills, enabling effective collaboration with senior stakeholders and diverse employee groups.

Knowledge of safety protocols, compliance standards, and operational procedures for lab environments is essential.

• Operations Management: Experience in running innovation labs, workshops, or maker environments is crucial.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency with 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, electronics prototyping, and related tools is required.
• Program Facilitation: Ability to coach and support employees on creative problem solving, prototyping, and rapid iteration is vital.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong client-facing skills are necessary for engaging with senior stakeholders and diverse employee groups.
• Safety & Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of equipment safety, compliance standards, and operational protocols for lab environments is crucial.
• Project Coordination: Organizing hackathons, workshops, and training sessions, ensuring seamless execution, is an essential part of this role.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Proven ability to work cross-functionally, lead small teams, and foster a culture of experimentation is required.
