Job Title: Cypress Automation Specialist
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our QA team and drive the delivery of high-quality web applications.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in writing end-to-end test automation using Cypress.io, strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, and a passion for delivering robust, maintainable, and scalable test suites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for end-to-end and integration testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand requirements and identify test scenarios.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Debug failed tests and report defects with clear documentation.
- Ensure test coverage for new features and regression testing.
- Maintain and update test frameworks and libraries as needed.
- Participate in code reviews and promote test automation best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in test automation with Cypress.io.
- Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST APIs, browser dev tools).
- Experience with source control tools like Git.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
- Knowledge of other test automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium).
- Exposure to performance testing or security testing.
- Experience testing in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
