Job Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Leader to spearhead our next-generation Enterprise Technology Platform. As Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team, driving technical innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer needs.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java technologies, experience in building secure platforms, and a proven track record of success in bringing innovative software products to market. They will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive technical solutions forward.

The successful candidate will have a passion for building applications that are sensitive to memory, bandwidth, latency, and tough performance constraints. They will also be deeply conversant in technologies such as Java/J2ee, JavaScript, XML, DOM/SAX Parsers, Swings, HTML, CSS, HTTP/s, C++, Jboss, JSP, EJB 2.0, Struts 2.0, Servlets, Kodo (ORM), JMS, RMI, Quartz, ANT, drools, various file Systems, XML, DB (SQL, Oracle, DB2), DMS, Web Services, LDAP integration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the engineering team to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Drive technical innovation and ensure the adoption of best practices across the team.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, including resource allocation and project timelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java technologies.
  • Proven track record of success in leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools, such as Jenkins and Docker.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
