Senior RAN Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled RAN Operations professional to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual with expertise in 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G RAN technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the maintenance of national and circle-wise Radio Network Availability above 99.95%, analyzing root cause behind RNA degradation, and reducing outages due to Active faults.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive radio network availability to meet regulatory targets across all technologies.
• Play a key role in monitoring, modernizing, and upgrading networks for RAN product life cycle management.
• Take care of RAN nodes software lifecycle management to ensure technical support is available and all systems are on the latest software release.
• Ensure periodic governance with OEM CARE support teams and NOC to track open issues, bug fixing, and discuss roadmaps.
• Reduce SA & NSA Alarms by coordinating with NOC, OEM, and Circles, including special weekly drives for FAN, Temperature, and Low Voltage Infra Alarms.
• Drive Preventive Maintenance activities, ensuring Quality PM is carried out by Circles as per OEM guidelines.
• Govern Circle Operational Efficiencies through PNP, WFM performance, Active Outage reduction, Vehicles, Riggers, Spares movement, and R&R cycles.
• Pilot and rollout new features across the installed base.
• Participate in EME handling with NOC and OEM, take up P1 incidents, and conduct RCA discussions with stakeholders to keep P1 incidents near zero.
• Drive HW Faults, reason for failures, and R&R support to Circles, including special support requirements for bulk HW arrangements during Flood - Cyclone situations.
• Conduct RAN Operational parameter Audits to maintain consistency across all Sites, implement new alarm and TT generation criteria, and report through NOC.
• Review existing and create new NOC and Mobility processes for seamless field operations and improve resource efficiencies.
• Develop new applications/tools for field force management and preventative maintenance purposes.
• Drive INFRA and Transport teams for fault reduction, availability improvement, and HW failures.
• Drive traffic migration and legacy node ramp-down to maintain network compatibility and AMC support availability.
• Complete technical assessments and provide input for new tools, technologies, and vendors, tracking and ensuring new node integration through Acceptance Tests as per VIL guidelines and standards.
• E nsure DoT/Regulatory notifications for all RAN SW as per regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in RFP supplier interactions, raising requirements, verifying compliance, comparison, and evaluation.

Requirements:

• 10 years of multi-technology multi-vendor experience in BSS Operations (wireless domain).
• Sound knowledge on 2G, 4G, and 5G RAN and IP technologies, as well as different Equipment vendor interworking.
• Ability to coordinate operational activities with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong in chasing and driving improvement agendas with action owners and closure within timelines.
• Experience in process creation, governance, customer experience improvement initiatives, with strong vendor and partner management skills.

Education:

• Bachelor of Engineering, preferably in Electronics and/or Telecommunications.
• Field experience with multivendor and multi-technology networks.
• Hands-on experience with 2G, 4G, and 5G technologies, and knowledge on 5G RAN and IP technologies.
• Good presentation and analysis skills.
