Job Title:

A Performance Test Engineer is responsible for evaluating the speed, reliability, and scalability of software systems to identify performance bottlenecks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies, as well as experience working with cross-functional teams to improve system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze test results and create detailed reports on system performance.
  • Implement performance monitoring tools to detect and troubleshoot system performance issues.
  • Work closely with developers and architects to optimize system performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to system performance.
  • Document performance-related processes, issues, and solutions for future reference.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years overall IT experience.
  • Proven experience as a Performance Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills:

  • Core Java programming language.
  • Hibernate, JPA, JTA frameworks.
  • Spring framework and XMLBeans.
  • Web Services, XML, XSD, REST services expertise.
  • Microservices architecture knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
  • Kafka and Vertex messaging systems.
  • SQL database management.
  • Message Queueing Systems like IBM MQ and Active MQ.
  • WebSphere/WebLogic application servers.
  • Unit testing tools like JUnit and mocking libraries such as Mockito.
  • Build tools like Gradle and Maven.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding and analysis of DB AWR reports.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
