Comprehensive Aquaculture Expertise

Professional aquaculture specialists are required to lead thorough value chain assessments and interventions across the aquaculture sector of Assam.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive value chain assessments, identifying key areas for improvement and potential enhancements.
  • Design and implement targeted upgrading strategies to boost efficiency and productivity throughout the aquaculture value chain.
  • Establish sustainable market linkages between smallholder producers, cooperatives, and institutional buyers.
  • Provide expert technical assistance and capacity building support to community organizations and rural entrepreneurs.
  • Promote livelihood diversification initiatives to enhance resilience among smallholder households.
Key Requirements
  • Master's degree in Management, Economics, Rural Development, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in value chain development, aquaculture/fisheries, or rural livelihoods.
  • Proven expertise in smallholder-focused market development and inclusive value chain promotion.
  • Strong understanding of aquaculture systems, rural livelihood models, and pro-poor value chain interventions.
