ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Junior Civil Engineer to oversee the successful delivery of our civil engineering projects. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the successful execution of our infrastructure development initiatives.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Junior Civil Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for supervising and managing all on-site construction activities, resolving minor design and technical details with contractors and architects, and maintaining accurate records of materials, labour, and progress on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with contractors and architects to resolve minor design and technical issues, ensuring that high standards of workmanship are maintained.
  • Monitor local contractors, ensuring that they meet the required standards of quality and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, labour, and progress on site, providing valuable insights for future project planning.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders through charts, emails, and reports, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned.
  • Stay on-site during the entire construction period, overseeing project execution and resolving any on-the-ground issues that may arise.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and manage site logistics effectively, minimizing risks and maximizing productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture and have strong problem-solving skills for resolving on-site issues effectively. You should also be able to read and interpret construction drawings, designs, and specifications, and have an understanding of working in CAD software.
