Job Overview:

The Infrastructure Engineer role is responsible for leading the deployment and ongoing support of critical IT infrastructure platforms.

This includes RMM, patch management tools, cloud-based backups, antivirus, and endpoint protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Monitoring: Servers, networks, and systems are overseen to ensure uptime and optimal performance.
  • Infrastructure Design: Collaboration with IT teams executes infrastructure projects aligned with hospitality industry needs.
  • Troubleshooting: A senior escalation point addresses complex technical problems affecting hotel operations.
  • System Improvement: System trends are analyzed and proactive enhancements are implemented based on best practices.
  • Security Compliance: Secure systems are maintained through regular audits, vulnerability remediation, and coordination with third-party SOC providers.
  • Vendor Management: Offshore vendors are overseen to ensure timely patch management and cost-effective service delivery.
  • Documentation: Accurate and up-to-date records of configurations, system designs, and changes are maintained.
  • Capacity Planning: System performance is tracked and future infrastructure needs are forecasted.
  • Team Collaboration: Cross-functional teams work closely to ensure system compatibility and policy alignment.
  • Training and Support: Training and guidance are provided on IT policies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in IT infrastructure management, ideally within the hospitality sector.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, Group Policy configuration, multi-factor authentication, VMWare administration, automated patch management systems, server vulnerability remediation, switch/router configuration, PowerShell, and cloud platforms (AWS, MS Azure).
  • Familiarity with RMM and patch management platforms such as ConnectWise, SolarWinds, or ManageEngine.
  • Certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Cisco CCNA are considered assets.
