The key responsibilities include:

• Academic Leadership
  • Promote a student-centered approach to learning, emphasizing academic rigor, and innovation.
  • Develop and implement policies that drive academic excellence, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Research and Innovation
  • Cultivate a research-driven environment by supporting faculty and students in scholarly activities, publication, and securing funding.
  • Establish partnerships with industry leaders, academic institutions, and research bodies to enhance knowledge exchange and collaboration.
• Institutional Governance
  • Ensure effective governance structures are in place, promoting transparency, accountability, and good decision-making practices.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, encouraging staff and students to adhere to university policies and regulations.
• External Engagement
  • Represent the university at national and international forums, fostering partnerships and collaborations that benefit the institution and its stakeholders.
  • Elevate the university's reputation through strategic outreach, networking, and branding initiatives.

Qualifications:

• A distinguished academician with teaching experience in a reputable institution.
• A medical Doctor or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from a premier institution with experience in academic education, research, curriculum development, administration, and management.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience as professor or equivalent positions held in a university system or reputable research or academic administrative organizations.
• Proven expertise in steering institutions toward top rankings and accreditations.
• An inspirational leader with intellectual breadth, strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated expertise in research-driven programs and policies, experience developing and leveraging partnerships, and success leading diverse, complex teams and organizations.
