Analytics Role Overview

The role of an Analytics Engineer is pivotal in designing and scaling datamarts, dashboards, business rules, and ML deployment pipelines.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Data Architect: Design and oversee datamarts and curated data views across domains to ensure seamless data access and analysis.
  • Data Governance: Establish data modeling best practices, documentation, and governance to maintain data integrity and quality.
  • Tech Leadership: Mentor team members on SQL and data engineering patterns, driving innovation and growth within the analytics ecosystem.
  • Dashboard Expertise: Drive dashboard standards, governance, and usability across business teams to foster a culture of data-driven decision making.
  • Executive Dashboards: Lead the design of executive-level and operational dashboards that provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • SLA Management: Manage a backlog of dashboard requests with clear SLAs, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Production Rule Engine: Own the design and governance of production rule engines for credit/fraud policies, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Model Deployment: Lead the deployment and monitoring of batch-based ML models, defining standards for model execution, monitoring, and retraining workflows.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Risk/Policy/Product teams for agile implementation, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared success.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a small team (2–4 analysts/engineers) with responsibility for prioritization, quality, and development, conducting regular reviews, mentorship, and skill development.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and the analytics team, providing expert guidance and support to drive business outcomes.
