Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Healthcare Support Specialist to provide emotional and financial support to patients and families dealing with long-term or terminal illnesses.

Job Description:

The Healthcare Support Specialist will assess patients' socio-economic conditions, provide required emotional and financial support, and liaise with NGOs, charitable organizations, and government schemes for patient assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' socio-economic conditions and provide required emotional and financial support.
  • Liaise with external organizations for patient assistance.
  • Provide counseling and support to patients and families dealing with long-term or terminal illnesses.
  • Assist in discharge planning, post-discharge support, and patient education.
  • Document patient support cases, maintain accurate records, and submit regular reports.
  • Coordinate with healthcare departments for timely interventions in social cases.
  • Respond to medico-legal or vulnerable patient cases with confidentiality and empathy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Empathy and Compassion: Ability to connect deeply with patients and families during stressful or traumatic situations.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Able to assess situations quickly and recommend practical solutions.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple cases, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with various stakeholders.
