Job Title: Senior Data Scientist Lead

This role focuses on strategic programming initiatives to drive efficiency and innovation. The Senior Data Scientist Lead will oversee the development and implementation of statistical programming strategies, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and automation to maximize results.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to optimize business outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
  • Design and maintain complex data systems and architectures to support business needs
  • Provide expert guidance on data analysis and statistical modeling to inform business decisions
  • Lead a team of data scientists and engineers to develop and deploy AI/ML models and predictive analytics
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in statistical programming and data science
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving business outcomes through data-driven decision making
  • Strong expertise in programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL
  • Experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch

Programming Ecosystems, Statistical Analysis Plans, database set-up specifications are core to this job which requires you to have excellent communication skills, an analytical mindset, problem-solving ability, strong organizational skills, technical skills such as software development, data visualization, knowledge management and others like it. An experienced programmer is expected to automate routine tasks, perform unit testing, follow industry best practices, write clean code, refactor legacy code and use source control systems like Git. Team leadership skills are also important because we need a project leader who can guide junior developers, assign tasks, provide feedback, evaluate their performance, manage deadlines and motivate them to deliver quality results quickly.
