Sr. Animation & Rigging Expert

About the Role:

We are a leading VFX studio based in Indonesia, specializing in VFX for Japanese films. To enhance our expertise, we are seeking an experienced Supervisor with experience in Hollywood film productions to mentor and direct our artists, particularly in the field of Animation.

  • Provide comprehensive training on Autodesk Maya and Blender software for Film and Advertising needs, from basic to advanced levels.
  • Prioritize teaching animation and rigging techniques in various styles (realistic, cartoonish, stylized, etc.).
  • Develop effective strategies for integration between Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa.
  • Deliver efficient teaching to in-house animators and riggers to enhance individual skills.
  • Share insights into experience as an animator and rigger in the world of global cinema.
Requirements:
  • Mastery of animation and rigging using Blender and Maya software.
  • Mastery of animation principles and ability to apply them flexibly, especially in realistic or semi-realistic character animation.
  • Mastery of animation workflows and pipelines.
  • Problem-solving: ability to address animation issues independently of tools.
  • Adaptability: ability to adjust animation style to suit the project (realistic, cartoonish, stylized, etc.).
  • Mastery and understanding of anatomy and deformation of living creatures.
  • Ability to create rigging that facilitates animators (controllers and sliders).
  • Ability to adapt rigs to animation styles (cartoonish, realistic, etc.).
  • Ability to mentor junior animators and riggers, then review results.
