">Job Description

We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer, Backend, to join our team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for architecting and developing a platform for financial data. This includes providing technical structure to teams, working closely with management and stakeholders to define strategic roadmaps, managing individual projects priorities deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise mentoring and training other team members on design techniques and coding standards writing high-quality well-tested code to meet customer needs planning and implementing multiyear strategies for Finhub engineering collaborating with engineers designers product managers and senior leadership to turn vision into tangible roadmap every quarter and more.

You'll be part of a dynamic team that builds and maintains critical platforms for Coinbase's existence. Your work will have a direct impact on the company's growth and success.

">Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in architecting big data systems around technologies like Apache Spark and Hive
  • Experience in upleveling junior engineers via processes and setting a high bar for them to follow
  • Knowledge of high-quality code and software engineering processes
  • Passion for building an open financial system
  • Experience with integrating banking partners or knowledge of bank statements API-based file-based SWIFT

Additionally you may have experience with Golang gRPC Docker SnowFlake Databricks and advanced SQL.
