Backend Developer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the R&D group, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and developing new features and capabilities for our microservices backend.

The R&D group is building and delivering the enablement platform for the current and next generation of media experiences in the fields of personalization, content interaction, and social interaction, all of which are at the core of our value proposition.

Key parts of the workflow include integrating with various video and audio live/VOD assets, personalized processing, and distribution across the world to end-users, while allowing collaboration among users, all in real-time.

As a seasoned Backend Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, designing, and developing our company's platform
  • Maintaining and improving existing infrastructure, tools, and workflows
  • Ensuring quality software delivery through automated component testing, E2E testing, and performance testing
  • Exploring and recommending innovative approaches to improve our platform performance and scalability
  • Thriving in a fast-paced development process with ongoing deliveries and high-speed iterations

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering from a leading university
  • At least 8 years of experience as a Software/Backend Engineer in Python
  • A strong understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases, leveraging data modeling solutions for scalability and performance
  • Strong experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, including REST APIs and message queues
  • A strong team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Fluent in written and verbal English communication

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in CI/CD environments (e.g., GHA, Jenkins)
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code development (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
