We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer to fill this challenging role.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in designing, optimizing and managing large-scale databases that meet the needs of our organization.

Key responsibilities include architecting high-performance databases, ensuring data integrity, and supporting applications that utilize AI-driven technologies.

  • Design and develop database architectures that are scalable, efficient and secure (SQL & NoSQL).
  • Optimize database queries, indexing and performance tuning to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
  • Develop ETL pipelines to support AI/ML and analytics workflows.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers on vector databases and RAG pipelines.
  • Integrate databases with APIs, CRMs and external systems.
  • Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues and improve reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in SQL databases.
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of vector databases is an asset.
  • Expertise in database optimization, indexing and partitioning.
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes, data pipelines and data modeling.
  • Experience working with cloud database services.
  • Familiarity with backup, replication and high availability strategies.
  • Strong Python/SQL scripting skills for automation.

Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working with data warehouses.
  • Knowledge of streaming data systems.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML data pipelines.
  • Exposure to DevOps for databases.
  • Prior work with enterprise-scale databases handling high-volume data.
