Job Title: Specialist Engineer-Consultant-Civil-Design Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Engineer-Consultant-Civil-Design Engineering to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

This Specialist Engineer-Consultant-Civil-Design Engineering will be responsible for providing expert consultancy services to clients, guiding them through the design, planning, and execution phases of civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of civil engineering design principles, including site development, structural design, transportation engineering, and environmental considerations.

The role will also involve leading the design process for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and drainage systems. This will include developing and reviewing detailed design calculations, technical reports, and drawings, as well as ensuring that all designs meet the specified project requirements and adhere to industry standards.

In addition, the Specialist Engineer-Consultant-Civil-Design Engineering will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of civil engineering projects, from design through to construction. This will include coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure designs are integrated effectively into the overall project plan.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design, with experience in designing infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, and drainage systems. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert consultancy services to clients, guiding them through the design, planning, and execution phases of civil engineering projects.
  • Lead the design process for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and drainage systems.
  • Develop and review detailed design calculations, technical reports, and drawings.
  • Manage the technical aspects of civil engineering projects, from design through to construction.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a specialized area is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on infrastructure, and at least 3 years in a consultant role.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Civil Design Expertise: Advanced knowledge of civil engineering design principles, including site development, structural design, transportation engineering, and environmental considerations.
  • Consultancy Skills: Ability to provide expert advice to clients, conduct feasibility studies, and offer solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing technical aspects of projects, from design through to construction.
